Salary Level B: A$90K – A$106K per year or Salary Level C: A$109K – A$125K per year (plus 17% employer superannuation plus leave loading).
In this unique and challenging role, the successful candidate will manage and mentor the research team of the Dean of Science, Professor Merlin Crossley. The applicant will have responsibility for the day to day direction of a large team of molecular biologists, consisting of Post-Docs, PhD and Honours students. This is a highly autonomous role, giving the applicant’s responsibility for driving and promoting all aspects of a successful and internationally competitive research laboratory.
The Crossley laboratory is located in newly renovated facilities in the School of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences. The School offers state of the art genomic, proteomic and bioinformatic research support. In the 2010 ERA scores for biological sciences the University of New South Wales achieved the top score of 5.
This is a full time (35 hours per week) fixed term position for three years.
